ANTONI GAUD?Produced by William Thomson Copyright 200022 minutesPresented in this film are the major eventsand architectural achievements of Antoni Gaud?. Shown and explained are the main influenceson Gaud?''s Art Nouveau or ''''modernismo'''' style which rangesfrom Neo-Medievalism through Neo-Gothic to pre-Surrealism. In his early works the style shows Moorishinfluences, with the beginning of his organic or biologic structuralinnovations. The film also includesclose-up views of his ornamental figures and mosaics, decorative innovationsof the time. These include the chimneys, drain pipes, window structure andcolor, lighting fixtures, etc. Architectural drawings explain some of histheories of organic structure, such as the design for the church of whichonly the crypt was completed, and his design for the interior of the Temple of the SagradaFamilia.
